100%to the freelancer

Arabic-first freelance marketplace · 0% commission

Paid a deposit and the freelancer vanished? No deposits here.

Each stage's amount is held with us and reaches the freelancer only after you receive the work and approve it. You pay one small flat fee instead of a percentage, and neither your project nor your money goes missing.

AI only suggests the draft, and you review it. Real freelancers do the work.

Finish the work and we'll settle up later… Heard that before?

On Wasyet there is no "later". Your client approves the stages and pays before you start, and the money is held with us until you deliver. Deliver with peace of mind, and get paid without a fight.

Wasyet (Arabic: وسيط) is an Arabic-first online freelance marketplace for the Arab world. It connects clients with freelancers at 0% commission: the freelancer receives 100% of the project value, and a flat fee of $12 or $25 per project replaces percentage commissions. Each milestone is held until approval, the Wasyet team follows every project, and freelancers can bring their own clients under the same protection.

[01]The problem

Why both sides lose on typical platforms

  1. 01

A commission that eats a quarter of the income

15% to 20% of every project goes to the platform. So the freelancer raises the price, and the client pays the difference.

  2. 02

    The deposit, or blind trust

Off-platform, either the client pays up front and hopes, or the freelancer works first and hopes. Someone is always exposed.

  3. 03

    No talking allowed

A phone number or a meeting link in a message can get you banned, even when you just wanted to finish the work faster.

  4. 04

    Slow disputes, binding verdicts

Tickets that close after days of silence, then a final ruling you can't appeal.

Figures are from the platforms' official pages as of 2026-10-18. Sources under the comparison table.

[02]Why Wasyet

Four rules, on every project.

[01]

0% commission. 100% to the freelancer.

We never take a percentage of the project. Instead, the client pays one flat fee, shown before paying: $12 for projects up to $500, $25 above that. So the freelancer keeps the full amount, has no reason to inflate the price, and the client pays less.

Held, stage by stage

The project is split into stages. The client funds one stage before it starts, and Wasyet holds that amount until the delivery is approved, or sent back for changes. On approval the money goes to the freelancer, and the next stage begins. Nobody pays the whole project up front, and nobody works before their money is held.

[03]

Both sides protected, followed to the end

Every funding, delivery and approval is recorded in the project. The Wasyet team follows along, and if there's a disagreement, it reads that same record and replies in the thread. And you talk freely: no bans for sharing contact details, and a Zoom meeting is one click away inside the chat.

[03]How it works

From idea to payment, in four steps.

01 / 04

Describe your project

Write your idea in your own words. The assistant suggests a clear brief; you review and publish.

02 / 04

Choose your freelancer

Proposals arrive with past work. Message the ones you like and agree on the stages.

03 / 04

Fund the first stage

Just the stage amount, not the whole project. It stays held until you approve.

04 / 04

Approve, or ask for changes

On approval the money goes to the freelancer, and you fund the next stage.

01 / 04

Create your profile, or your project

Show your work and apply to jobs, or create a project for your own client.

02 / 04

Agree on the stages

Split the work into stages with amounts and dates, and agree on them in the thread.

03 / 04

Start once it's funded

Never start a stage before its amount is held.

04 / 04

Deliver, and keep 100%

After approval the full amount lands in your balance, and you withdraw it from your earnings page.

Steps 3 and 4 repeat for every stage.

What is Wasyet, and how is it different from Mostaql, Khamsat or Fiverr?

Wasyet is an Arabic-first freelance marketplace that connects clients and freelancers at 0% commission, while platforms like Mostaql, Khamsat and Fiverr take 15% to 20% from the freelancer according to their official pages. On Wasyet the freelancer receives 100% of the project value, and the client pays a small flat fee instead of a percentage. Each stage's amount is held before work starts and released after approval, and the two sides talk freely with no contact bans.

How much does Wasyet charge, and who pays the fee?

Commission on the freelancer is 0%, and there is one flat fee per project: $12 for projects up to $500, and $25 above that. The client pays it by default, which is how the freelancer receives the full project value; the two sides can agree to deduct it from the freelancer's amount instead. Payment processing fees are also paid by the client, and every fee is shown before you pay, with nothing hidden. For scale: a 20% commission on a $2,000 project is $400, and the flat fee on the same project is $25.

How does Wasyet protect the client and the freelancer?

By holding each stage's amount with Wasyet before work on it starts, and releasing it to the freelancer only after the client approves the delivery. So the client never pays the whole project up front, and the freelancer never works before the money is held. If the delivery needs changes, the client asks for them before approving, while the money is still held. If the two sides can't agree, a support request is opened from the project, and the Wasyet team reviews the thread and the deliveries and helps resolve it.

Can we talk directly or hold a meeting?

Yes. Communication is direct and unrestricted, and sharing a phone number or email is not a violation. You can start a Zoom meeting from inside the conversation with one click, or share another meeting link.

Can I work with my own client through Wasyet?

Yes, create a project on Wasyet and send your client the link; they pay through the platform, and the amount stays held until you deliver and it's approved. You get the same protection for work you found yourself, with no commission. Clients can invite a freelancer they already know the same way.

How do I get paid, in which currency, and does Wasyet work in my country?

After the delivery is approved, the amount moves to your balance, and you request a withdrawal from your earnings page. All amounts are in US dollars, in both Arabic and English. Wasyet is built for the whole Arab world, and the withdrawal options available depend on your country.

Does AI do the project?

No. Real freelancers do the work; AI only helps you write the project brief or job post. You describe what you need in your own words, it suggests a clear draft, and you review, edit and publish it. Then proposals arrive from freelancers, and you choose who does the work.

No commission, so no hidden markup in the price.

The freelancer doesn't need to raise their price 20% to cover it, so you pay the real price and they receive all of it.
