How does Wasyet work?
Every project on Wasyet runs in four steps, from the first brief to the released payment.
Each milestone is paid to Wasyet first and released to the freelancer only after the delivery is approved.
What are the client's steps?
Describe your project
Write your idea in your own words. The assistant suggests a clear brief; you review and publish.
Choose your freelancer
Proposals arrive with past work. Message the ones you like and agree on the stages.
Fund the first stage
Just the stage amount, not the whole project. It stays held until you approve.
Approve, or ask for changes
On approval the money goes to the freelancer, and you fund the next stage.
Steps 3 and 4 repeat for every stage.
What are the freelancer's steps?
Create your profile, or your project
Show your work and apply to jobs, or create a project for your own client.
Agree on the stages
Split the work into stages with amounts and dates, and agree on them in the thread.
Start once it's funded
Never start a stage before its amount is held.
Deliver, and keep 100%
After approval the full amount lands in your balance, and you withdraw it from your earnings page.
What happens after approval?
The milestone amount moves to the freelancer's balance and becomes available to withdraw from the earnings page after a short review period. The next milestone is then paid the same way until the project is complete.
Frequently asked questions
Do I pay for the whole project up front?
No. You pay only the current milestone to Wasyet, and it stays held until you approve its delivery.
When does the freelancer start working?
After the milestone has been paid to Wasyet. No milestone starts before its amount is secured.
Can I ask for changes before approving?
Yes. The client reviews the delivery and requests changes if needed, while the money stays held until approval.
